Betty (Axelrod) Thorner

For 56 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Paul M. Thorner. Loving mother to daughter Shelley Joy of NYC, son Nathan (Ned) and his wife Masha of Framingham. Dear sister to Karen Duffy of Philadelphia. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Brookline she received her Master’s from Staley College of the Spoken Word. She worked in theater at Charles Playhouse, Newton Country Players. One of the founding members of New England Bead Guild, Entrepreneur of “Betty Thorner Jewelry Originals”. Member of the Sudbury Democratic Committee. She was a member of Congregation Beth El of the Sudbury. Together with her husband Paul they traveled the world.

Graveside services at the New Town Cemetery, 357 Concord Rd, Sudbury on Thursday, December 28 at 1:00pm.
