Arlene C. Weintraub, age 90, at home. Arlene was born in New York and grew up in Providence, RI before moving to Boston in 1957. She went to Brown University and Simmons School of Social Work, and then worked at a community mental health center for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, and her wondrous Australian Labradoodle, Sashi. She leaves her son, Alexander, of Newton, and her daughter, Melissa (Laurence) of Oregon, and many wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed.
Service will be at Temple Sinai, 50 Sewell Avenue, Brookline on Thursday, December 15 at 11 a.m.

All who wish may come for the burial at Beit Olam Cemetery in Wayland. Shiva will be on Thursday from 3-7 pm, continuing on Friday from 2-4 pm, and on Saturday from 5-7 pm, at the Ledgebrook Clubhouse, 261 Nahanton St., Newton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Sinai, the MSPCA, Doctors Without Borders, BOLLI, or Compassion and Choices.
