Robert (or “Bob”) was born on June 16, 1941, in Western Pennsylvania, and went on to achieve
great athletic success at Wichita State University, where he lettered in basketball and football.
Robert was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1964, winning the last-ever NFL World
Championship and becoming a Super Bowl 1 and 2 Champion. He later played for the Atlanta
Falcons and again for Coach Vince Lombardi with the Washington Redskins. Following his
football days he had a successful real estate development career, including helping to bring Pizza
Hut to Wisconsin.
Robert loved his wife of 48 years, Joni, as well as his children, grandchildren, and endless
friends. At his beloved home in Brookfield, Wisconsin he would frequently relax on his deck and
enjoy quiet afternoons with family or friends. Robert was one of the most personable and
generous people you could ever hope to meet, and his joy in sharing stories and continued
charitable work brought happiness to many.
He will be laid to rest in a private service at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of
flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the American Stroke Association
(www.stroke.org) or the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org)
