Richard "King Richard" Ortiz passed away peacefully next to his family at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee on September 30, 2024. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on February 10, 1960, to the late Raymond Ortiz and Virginia Vincent (late Seth Vincent Sr. raised Richard and was recognized as his father).

After obtaining his degree from MTI, he volunteered for Christian Record Services in the role of Ministry for Disabled Adults and Disabled Young Children.
Richard loved country music and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO). He was a longtime member of the Symphony. He made new friends wherever he went and developed long standing relationships with several doctors and staff members at St. Luke's Medical Center.
