Kathleen M. Fixel

Kathleen M. Fixel, Kathy passed away on March 25, 2012. She was born in Cudahy on May 22, 1939 to the late Michael and the late Kathryn (nee Freudenberg) Fixel. She is survived by Rae Zweber. Also surviving are her sister, Rita (Al) Schoenung and sister-in-laws, Mikki (the late John) Fixel and Ginny (the late Mike) Fixel. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her sister Anita and brother Freddie. Her loss is mourned by her beloved 16 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews, the entire Zweber family, and a host of other relatives and friends. Kathy was a former hair stylist and retired from AT&T with 20+ years. As she was an avid sports fanatic, please help celebrate her life by wearing your Wisconsin sports team apparel. She also enjoyed fireworks, hot air balloons, travel, casinos, lighthouses, waterfalls, caves, family gatherings and co-hosting themed parties for any and all occasions. Special thanks to Dr. Laura McGartland and the "life saver" staff of Aurora Cancer Care for their TLC over the years. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Lung Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. All services will be Saturday, March 31, 2012, at St. Florian Catholic Church, 1233 S. 45th St., West Milwaukee. Visitation at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Private inurnment at St. Adalbert Cemetery at a later date.
