"Penny"
Penny passed away peacefully at age 84 on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 7:10 PM, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was born on February 22, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married the love of her life, Peter Loppnow, who preceded her in death in June, 2000. They lovingly and proudly raised two daughters, Kim and Andi, as well as a multitude of poodles.
Together, Peter and Penny created Parkview Sand & Gravel, successfully managing the business for many years. Continuing to build upon her strong entrepreneurial spirit, Penny created and operated multiple companies, including Pen-Tec Interiors, PJ Clothing, as well as New Resolution, Inc. Aside from managing her business endeavors, she was passionate about sharing her home, including gatherings of all kinds, and bible studies. Penny was famous for her lavish, over-the-top Christmas parties that included boatloads of food, drinks, and Christmas Villages galore. She was a generous, vibrant hostess and enjoyed every minute of it.
Peter and Penny enjoyed regular trips to Las Vegas. Gaming and travel were some of her greatest enjoyments; among her favorites was a cruise to Alaska. While traveling with Kim on business, later in life, Penny proudly managed to find every casino in the Midwest.
Her life’s biggest passion was embracing her relationship with God. She had an incredibly strong faith, continuously studying the Bible - Penny not only studied her faith, she lived it. She saw good in every person she met. She helped friends start their own business ventures, and was always there when someone needed a safe place to stay, for as long as they needed it.
Her tremendous faith, creative flair, generous spirit, and the witty sense of humor she held to her last day, will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Penny is survived by Kim and Andi, Riley Ebert, Hannah Nummerdor, Diane Mattsen and other extended family and friends.
Penny’s Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK - Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005. Memorial Visitation from 12:30 - 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service and celebration at 2:00 PM.
Penny had a great love of dogs (after all, DOG is GOD spelled backwards) so if you feel inclined, please donate to the Humane Society https://www.wihumane.org or your local church in Penny's honor.
