Vivian was born September 24, 1938 at Nebraska City, Nebraska to James V. and Violet I. (Thorne) Rose. The family moved to western Nebraska in the 1940’s and Vivian received her education at Victory Hill School north of Scottsbluff.
Vivian worked various jobs throughout the years including being a mother, waitress, truck driver, and mail carrier. She was united in marriage to Edward Donnelly on July 1, 1992 at Torrington, WY. The couple made their home at Angora before moving to Bridgeport seven years ago.
Vivian sang in the band – The Hillbillies – when she was a young lady. She enjoyed singing and was an accomplished yodeler. She was a member of the Bridgeport Church of Christ and the Angora Hilltoppers.
Vivian is survived by her husband Ed Donnelly of Bridgeport; sons Jim Douglass of Angora, Rob Douglass of Torrington, and Tim (Jodi) Douglass of Omaha; daughter Kristy (David) Benavides of Bridgeport; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Dave Rose of Mitchell; sister Mary (Claude) Ryan of Mitchell; sister-in-law Evelyn Rose of Bayard; several nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, sons Ron and Bill Douglass and brother Jim Rose.
