Timothy “Tim” Richard Crowther, age 68, passed away in his Nashville, Tennessee home on March 29, 2023. Tim is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 25 years, Joy Crowther (Belleau), his daughter Ali (Ryan) Fitch and son Nathan (Janelle) Crowther. Also grieving are Tim’s stepchildren Brock Harris, Haley (Matthew) Guzowski, and Paige (Krista) Harris who gained an incredible role model when Tim came into their lives through his marriage to Joy. In addition, Tim is greatly missed by his grandchildren Jett, Palmer, and Romy; uncles Ron Leymeister and Don Leymeister; sister-in-law Janis Belleau; and his faithful, spoiled dog, Jackpot.
Tim is predeceased by his wife of 10 years, Connie Crowther (Alderman); his parents Henry “Dick” Richard Crowther and Nancy Adele Crowther (Leymeister); and brother-in-law James J. Belleau.
Tim grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois but spent most of his adult life in Farmington Hills and Rochester Hills, Michigan. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1977 and enjoyed a respected 31-year career at Illinois Tools Works (ITW) as the Ford Motor Company Account Manager.
A selfless and kind family man, Tim most appreciated sharing life’s small moments with Joy, their blended family, and an assortment of adopted past and present pets. He especially cherished being an involved papa to his beautiful grandchildren, often showing off his cannonball skills in the pool.
Tim will be remembered as a true gentleman, the ultimate family man, an advocate for those in need, his immense generosity to others, his gentle demeanor, and his sweet sense of humor. If you happen to meet him in Heaven, he just might “talk ya out of a cup of coffee.”
Donations can be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission. A private memorial is planned.
