Sharon Anne (White) Ziegler

Sharon Anne (White) ZIEGLER, of Brentwood, TN, was born on December 11, 1948 to Clarence Edward and Chlora Dale White, and reposed peacefully in the Lord on January 21, 2020, the birthday of her departed father, at St. Thomas West Hospital. In her last moments she was surrounded, graced by a brief moment of wakefulness, by her husband of almost fifty-one years, David Henry Ziegler, her daughter, Allison Ziegler, her son, Michael Ziegler and daugher-in-law, Stella Ziegler, her grandson, Reuben Ziegler, her brother, Joseph White, her sisters, Leigh Hunting and Sheila Hunt, and her niece, Amy Meurer.

Sharon was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin, TN, where she was actively involved in the J.O.Y. Ministry, the Women of St. Philip, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

Sharon was a loving and well-loved daughter, sister, wife and mother, aunt, great aunt, and a very proud grandmother. Sharon took special delight in taking great pains to make seasons and events very special in her passion for decorating and providing lavish hospitality to family and friends. Sharon will be sorely missed, even by those who hope with fervent faith to be reunited one day in the Eternal Kingdom. In addition to the family listed above, Sharon is survived by three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, upon whom she doted.

Sharon worked in many different positions as a nurse, mental health counselor, and psychiatric nurse. Over the course of her lifetime, despite being somewhat shy in temperament, Sharon befriended a multitude, and these friends, as well as many clients and patients, bore witness to the impact she made on their lives.

The Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 24, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, times shown below. Burial will be at Memphis Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, TN on Saturday, January 25. Sharon and her family prefer that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Catholic Charities of TN.
