Shari Hall Zaccaro, age 60, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home in Nashville. Shari was born in Murray, Kentucky on July 5, 1961 to Mark and Norma (Harper) Hall. Shari graduated from Marshall County High School in 1979 then completed surgical technician training at Paducah Community College.
Shari then moved to Nashville to begin her medical career and while working full time completed her degree in nursing. She spent most of her career working, 35 years, as a surgical nurse at Saint Thomas Hospital.
Shari is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lesa Burkeen and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Burkeen of Benton, KY.
Shari is survived by a daughter, Leah Plummer of Murfreesboro, TN; a son, Jon Marc Zaccaro currently serving in the United States Air Force, stationed in New Jersey; sister, Cathy Melton of Calvert City; brother, Rick Hall of Benton; and several nieces and nephews; Shari’s life partner, Terry Cavender of Nashville.
Shari loved spending time with her family/friends on her boat, at the beach, adventure, and tending to a beautiful flower garden every year. Shari’s quick wit, with her infectious laugh and making others laugh was her superpower. She created beautiful memories everywhere she went and in everything she did. Her favorite TV shows were anything related to Zoos, Veterinarians, and comedy love stories, Yellowstone with the occasional SCI-FI thrown in for good measure. By far her favorite movies were the Harry Potter series – she could quote lines and tell you what was about to happen. Shari also loved Game of Thrones. Shari’s favorite holidays were Christmas where she loved to decorate the house and Halloween where she loved to dress up.
One in a million they say... Well they never met a woman like Shari...their loss... When you first meet her you would immediately like her... If you took time to know her you would love her... If you took time to really know Shari you couldn't help but to love her... That was Shari... One in a million, nah, not enough zeroes... I don't think there is enough zeroes to express it in those terms...or any terms... She had a heart of gold... She always had a smile and loved to make you smile and laugh... Even at the end she couldn't help herself but to try and make you laugh...that Bozo imitation...with the eye patch...awesome... Yep definitely not enough zeroes... She was a strong-willed woman that cared and loved...and that was what we all loved most about her... Always the first to extend friendship and always the first to accept friendship... Always wanted the best for everyone and expected no less from herself... Not. Enough. Zeroes... A nurse for 35 years should sum it up for everyone... Near the time when they first met Terry had the flu, she took care of him...what an angel... Not. Enough. Zeroes... Terry says he cannot wait till I see you again and be by your side...until he sees you...it was an honor to walk this road in life with you... He has been loved by the best and now that love is gone...no more words as they are gone... Our Shari is gone... Not. Enough. Zeroes…
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
