Robert Powell Banniza Sr.

Robert P. “Bobby” Banniza Sr., age 78 of Brentwood, TN, passed away February 5, 2023. Preceded in death by father, Harry L. Banniza, Sr., mother, Margaret Banniza, brother, Harry L. “Boogie” Banniza, brother, Charles E. Banniza, sister, Barbara A. “Dollbaby” Banniza and grandson Coleton H. Banniza.

Survived by wife, Dianne Banniza, son, Robert P. Banniza Jr. (Tiffany), daughter, Jacqueline S. McLendon (John), sister Telisa Banniza, brothers, Jimmy (Freida), Larry, Tony (Amy), along with multiple grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Bobby was a committed husband of 53 years and a loving father and grandfather. In his younger years, Bobby was a fierce competitor playing football for East High School and later Overton High School. He was gainfully employed until his retirement from Athens Distributing as a wholesale liquor distributor for 40+ years. Upon retirement, Bobby enjoyed spending time at the farm, watching football games, and attempting to win jackpots. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to strike up a conversation and entertain with his stories.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20th from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 10:00 am. Visitation and service will be held at: St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1219 Second Ave S., Nashville, TN 37210, Phone: 615-256-6498. https://stpatricksnashville.org/
