Raymond was born on August 25, 1949 in Baden, PA, the son of Joseph Carmen Polito and Anna Spinosi Polito. He married Sharon Lea Bogus on August 26th, 1972 in Crafton, PA, and she survives.
Also surviving are their children, Alysia (husband, Lon) Maxwell and Raymond “RJ” Polito; grandchildren, Jack and Liam Maxwell; brother, Gene (wife, Daisy) Polito; sisters, Janny (husband, Ed) Botsko, Joanne McGaw, Donna Polito, and Julie Polito; sister-in-law, Peg Polito; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Preceding Raymond in death are his parents; brother, Carmen Joseph; and one sister, Katherine “Dolly” Kaufmann.
Raymond was a dedicated and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known as the “peace maker” within his family, and he often would tell a joke just to put a smile on someone else’s face. He cared deeply for his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Politically minded, you could often find Raymond watching or reading about politics. Raymond loved aeronautics. He had his private pilot’s license, and he enjoyed flying with his family. Sharon remembers the two of them putting car seats in their airplane for their children to fly with them.
Raymond will be greatly missed.
Cremation rights have been accorded by Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
