Patrick Leroy Weddle, age 87, peacefully passed away November 21st in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born to Kenneth and Mary Weddle in Dayton, Ohio on May 11, 1937. After growing up in Dayton and graduating from high school and 2 years of college, he moved to Southern California to begin a career in the aerospace business. That was interrupted when he decided to move to Australia to start a boat company. Pat chased that dream for five years which included one full year in a VW bug exploring the outback. Returning to Southern California, and the aerospace business, he met Sandy Wright, and they were married in 1976. They started married life with one dog, but Pat loved animals, and one dog became three and others joined the household-five cats, multiple birds and one blind chicken.
Pursuing a lifelong desire to establish his own business, Pat and Sandy started a small business making components to support electronic companies again relocating to the high desert of Southern California.
Ultimately, a decision was made to move to Nashville, TN to be closer to family. Pat continued to work while attending every niece and nephew sports or arts event available while having his animals in his life. The move East also allowed an annual month-long visit to Halls Lake, VT which was a special time with friends and nature. He had an unusual love for animals of all types which was obvious when you witnessed his interaction with a strange dog. They instinctively knew that he loved them.
He went out of his way to care about others, sharing his strength, wisdom, and love in ways that lifted spirits and touched hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy.
