John D. Walker of Brentwood, Tenn., died Aug. 13, 2012, in Nashville. He was Global Finance Relationship Manager at Regions Bank and an avid tennis player. He was born in Crossville, Tenn. and was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville and the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, where he earned an MBA. John moved to Nashville 30 years ago after serving in the U.S. Air Force in Panama. Following a stint at the Office of Economic Development for the state of Tennessee, he was hired by First American Bank, which later became AmSouth then Regions. He was a loyal employee of the bank for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley; son, Scott; sister, Rachael (Billy) Eubank; niece, Molly Eubank; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Col. Van S. Walker, and his mother, Carolyn Baggett Walker.
Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, August 16, at Brentwood Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A celebration of John’s life will be held from 6:30pm until 8:00pm at Cross Corner Bar & Grill, 330 Franklin Rd., Brentwood, TN 37027. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 18, at the Crossville City Cemetery.
