George Walker Beard

serving as a radio operator in the Vietnam War, he enjoyed a long career as a machinist.

He married Vicki (Davis) Beard. They raised two children, daughter, Osha, and son, Joseph. George will be

remembered for the selfless acts of service he performed for family and friends through home

improvements and repairs. George loved country music, his cats, and worshiping with his church family

at Mill Creek Church of Christ.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Beard, parents, Joseph and Ruby Beard, brothers,

William and Harry, and sisters, Catherine and Cynthia. He is survived by his daughter, Osha Pinson, son,

Joseph Beard, sisters Christine Sullivan, Connie Corley, Carolyn Blankenship, and Janice Tabor, brother,

Thomas Gilbert Beard, and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted onSunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Dr, Nashville, TN 37220. For everyone’s safety, we request that you please wear a mask if attending the service.
