Frances Elizabeth Hawley, age 93, departed this life on July 10, 2020. She entered this life on October 8, 1926 in Richland, Iowa to the late, Vance and Elizabeth Harris Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 Years, Alan Hawley; Siblings, Ruth and Kathryn.
In High School, she met and later married Alan Hawley, and they began to create a lifetime of memories together. Frances & Alan lived and spent time in Baltimore, MD, New York City, NY, Cincinnati, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Aurora, OH, Memphis, TN, and Heber Springs, AR. She eventually made Brentwood her home in 2006. Frances's hobbies included gardening, birds, and flowers. She was very passionate about family, church, and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Michael A. (Joanne) Hawley of Brentwood, TN and James C. Hawley (daughter in law, Judi Hawley) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Christina (Eric) Oliger, Melissa (Patrick) McCaslin, and Gregory Hawley; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Elise, Savannah Oliger, Claire and Mary Pat McCaslin, Siblings, Robert Vance Curtis (Connie) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a private Memorial Service held at a later time. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Brentwood Methodist Church, Brentwood, TN 37207.
