ROLLINS, Edward S. – Age 85 of Brentwood, a native of Centreville, MS died on the 5th of February 2013. He retired from Lifeway Christian Resources, the former Baptist Sunday School Board, in 1992 as Manager, National Student Ministries. Retirement came after 40 years in College Student Ministry, serving in California before coming to Nashville. He was a member of First Baptist for 44 years, where he served as Deacon, on the Finance Committee and Budget Committee. He received his BS Degree from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and his Master of Divinity and Master of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joan Cole Rollins; six children and their spouses: Deborah and Scott Linn, Robin and Seth Ritter, Mark and Kandy Rollins, James and Charlotte Rollins, Bill and Lisa Rollins, and Amanda and Jon Bosaw; thirteen grandchildren, Alisa Lane, Eric Linn, Heather Gerber, Zane Ritter, Joshua and Jonathan Rollins, Jeremy Rollins, Audra Owens, Joseph Rollins, Trevor and Megan Bosaw, Jon and Beth Yablonski; and twelve great-grandchildren, Ben and Jack Lane, Ayla Gerber, Meiya and Ava Rollins, Aidan and Neely Owens, Jordan Story, Alexis Wiseman, Jaxson Baley, Jackson Rollins, Levi Rollins, and Jack Lane. The family cordially invites friends to gather with the family for a time of remembrance and visitation on Friday, the 8th of February 2013 from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service officiated by Dr. Frank Lewis will be held at First Baptist Church Nashville, 108 Seventh Ave South at eleven o'clock the morning of Saturday, February 9th 2013 with a time of visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow with an escorted procession to Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
