Donald Sabin

Donald Sabin, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on September 22, 2015. Don, fondly called ‘Poppy’ by his grandchildren, was born in Rochester, NY on September 21, 1935, the son of Mortimer and Mildred Sabin. In 1960, he married Patricia ‘Patti’ Lemmon also from Rochester, NY; they had two sons together, Stephen and Sean. In 1977, Don and Patti moved from Rochester to Nashville, TN. In 1997, after his successful careers with Neisner’s, Service Merchandise and Universal Tire, Don and Patti retired and moved to Viera, FL. In 2012, they returned to the Nashville area to be closer to their family.

Don and Patti were charter members of three churches, St. Ignatius, Holy Family and St. John the Evangelist. An avid traveler, golfer, card player and sports enthusiast, Don enjoyed his retirement greatly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, and survived by his sons and their families: Stephen and Dawn Sabin of Brentwood, TN, and their children, Sarah and Seth; and Sean and Suzanne Sabin of Concord, MA, and their children, Emma and Mae Claire.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th at twelve o’clock at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood, TN with reception following. Visitation with the family will be on Friday September 25th from four o’clock until seven o’clock at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
