Diane Elizabeth Hunter

Diane was a resident of the Orange Grove program in Chattanooga for many years. Diane was the oldest of six children. In spite of her disabilities, she lived a full life participating in family activities. Diane was the impetus for her parents developing educational and training programs for children and adults with mental disabilities. She never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew her. Her joy for singing was contagious. Many hours were spent singing “Jesus Loves Me” with everyone around her.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, William D. and Frances Hunter, and two siblings, Lynne Hunter Hughes (Doug) and Kevin Hunter (Kathy).

She is survived by three siblings: Gail Hunter of Palm Coast, Florida, Denny Hunter (Mary) of Sammamish, Washington and Denise Hunter Barnes (John) of Wilmington, North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 9010 Church St E, Brentwood, TN 37027. Burial to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery, 608 Mt Hope St, Franklin, TN 37064.
