Dee Foster Newsom Jr.

Dee Foster Newsom Jr., age 74, Hopkinsville by the way of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Dee the son of Christine Waller Cunningham and Fletcher Cunningham, was born on June 16, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dee Newsom has been preaching for fifty years and ended his career at Campbell Street Church of Christ in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He loved reading, teaching, preaching God's word. He was a person that always lifted people's sprit's when they were feeling bad and enjoyed bowling, basketball, cooking, and fellowship with his family bowlers: Edd Heath and Albert Shaw.

Survivors include his wife, Andrea D. Newsom married for 37 years. Two daughters, Tirecea S. Newsom of Nashville, Tennessee and De'nedra C. Newsom of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Samuel Dequeion McClain and Sebastian De Michael Shawn Bryant; son-in-law, Michael Bryant; three brothers, Herman Cunningham; Eddie Cunningham; and Darryl Cunningham; and a host of nieces and nephews.
