On Friday, December 1, 2017 Bernice Cari Moore, age 85, passed away with her husband at her side. Bernice was married on Dec 4,1954 to John A. Moore, her husband of 63 years. The couple were married in St. Nicholas Tolentine Church, Bronx, NY. Bernice Moore was born in New York City, NY in 1932. She was the daughter of the late Maria DiBenedetto Cari (Mary Cari) and Santos Cari from Palermo, Sicily. She is survived by her husband, John A. Moore and her children Gregory (Dawn) Moore of Nashville, Tennessee and Jacqueline (Michael) Jaquet of Greeley, Colorado. Her Grandchildren, Stacy McAuley (Ian), Kaylyn Moore and Andrew Moore of Nashville, Tennessee, Rachelle Jaquet and Alexander Jaquet of Greeley, Colorado. Great-Grandchildren, Giana, Isabella, Isaiah, and Gabriel McAuley of Nashville, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Bernice Moore worked as an office employee at Graymoor in Garrison, NY. She worked retail in New York. She had secretarial jobs, was a homemaker, then later to work with Special Education students in the Public School system in Danbury, Connecticut. She has volunteered her time as a Guardian Ad Litem in Inverness, Florida and in the library for the Blind, and donated time to the Catholic Church. Her hobbies included ceramics, reading books, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Bernice Moore was laid to rest at Calvary cemetery on December 12, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee.
