Mr. Willie Barnes was born January 7, 1935 in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Jerry and Esther Barnes. The family migrated to Trenton, NJ. Mr. Barnes was schooled in Trenton where he played soccer and football. After graduating he met Gloria Falwell and married her. From this union they had three children Willie B. Barnes Jr (Skeet), Janet Barnes (Dee Dee) and Orrin N. Barnes (Neal). Mr. Barnes and his family moved to Maryland in 1958 on Willie Jr's birthday.
Mr. Barnes worked 22 years at Glendale Hospital until its closure. He worked an additional 10 years at DC Village.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Janet Fortson; his son Orrin N. Barnes; his 6 grandchildren Orran Robinson, Kenard Fortson, twins; Timothy and Tiffany Barnes, Shaneal Barnes and Mircale Barnes; and his 3 great grandchildren Kenard Cooks, Kaden Cooks and Kai Barnes. He preceded in death by his parents Jerry & Esther Barnes, his brother Leroy Barnes and son Willie B. Barnes Jr.
