Shawn Vadell Edwards

Shawn Vadell Edwards, age 49, of Glendale, Maryland passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Shawn Vadell Edwards, born on June 8, 1972 in Washington D.C, son of Patricia Edwards and Benjamin Edwards. He was known to his friends as Back.

Shawn was educated in Washington D.C. Public Schools. After high school, he attended Carpentry, Trades and Labor Vocational Training. Shawn worked for various private sector companies in the metropolitan area, he was employed the last 7 years with Berliner International LLC. Shawn enjoyed sports, as a youth, he played football for the District of Columbia Parks and Recreational Centers. Shawn was an avid Washington Redskin fan for many years and he never missed watching a game.

Shawn was a quiet, lad back guy who loved life, his kids, and family. He loved hanging out with his close friends and reminisce about the good ole days growing up in our Northeast neighborhood. He like to listen to music, hip hop, R&B and Go Go music. He was very meticulous in his appearance, love to dress well and would not leave out the house unless he look a certain way.

Shawn leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother Patricia Edwards, his sons Shawn and Shantoine, one grandson Shawn Cameron, one sister Felicia and two brothers, Brian(Jennifer) and Glen. He also survived by his first cousins, Anthony, Sr., Vernette, and Myisha. He also survived by his two closest friends (Reggie and Shahyid) and many other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his father and his brother Keith.
