“So we are always confident, because we know that while we are living in the body, we are away from our home with the Lord. We live by faith and not by sight. We are confident, and we would prefer to leave the body and to be at home with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Sharon Elizabeth Bost, who family and friends affectionately knew as Weasel, was born on August 29, 1961, in Baltimore, MD, to Elizabeth and Albert Bost. She was the 5th child of 7 children from that union. Sharon transitioned at her home on June 24, 2021.
Sharon spent most of her childhood and received most of her formal education in Baltimore, MD until the family relocated to the Prince George's County area of MD. She always enjoyed having a good time with her family and friends. She loved to cook. The meals she prepared were memorable because she listened to the oldies, but goodies talked and danced every moment she got. She enjoyed a good cookout, and you better not forget the crabs. Sharon was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. When she wasn't working hard, she went to the casino and relaxed at the beach where she planned to live upon retirement.
Sharon became employed with the federal government in 2000, where she remained employed until her death. Over the years, her growth in the federal government led to promotions, and she recently co-led an HRSA presentation. She continued her education through countless workplace education opportunities and worked her way to attaining her status as a GS 9 step 10.
Sharon gave her life to the Lord on September 8, 1996, at The First Baptist Church of Highland Park. When she relocated to Montgomery County, she became a member of Victory Christian Church International in Gaithersburg, MD, until March 3, 2021, when she rededicated her life to Christ and returned to The First Baptist Church of Highland Park. From then until her passing, Sharon was an active member, and she was a part of the grievance committee there. Sharon recently married the love of her life, Greggory Coates, on May 15, 2021, whom she adored.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Albert Bost, her eldest son, Raymond (Toya), and her two brothers Derrick and Steven; she leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Greggory; her son Sean (Terese); her daughter Donna (Juvonti); her stepson Jordan; 2 sisters Karen (Nate) LaVerne (Nay) (Anthony); 2 brothers Ronald and Victor; 8 grandchildren Kamari, Nivon, Angel, Heaven, Sean Marie, Niko, Zoé, & Juvonti JR(Rylee); a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends; and her very special friend Snoopy.
