Patrick Marlow Noland was born July 27, 1954 in Montgomery County, Maryland to Nathan Joppy and Ann Green. Patrick was the eldest to a half brother. He was raised by his Aunt Evangeline Lewis (Aunt Van).
After graduating High School he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina and left with an honorable discharge. He received a M16 Marksman and Parachute badge.
He met the love of his life Carolyn Stafford. They have two sons; Duwan and Nathan Noland.
Pat loved helping other people and never passed up an opportunity to do so. Also, he was a lover of animals. On three occasions he brought home dogs; Stripe, Sheba and Gizmo.
The majority of his work life was with Metro where he started driving a bus; metro rail operator, metro yard worker and then in the command tower.
Pat loved working out with weights, jogging and biking. He had a brown belt in karate and participated in competitions. His hobby was computers, computers and more computers. He loved building, troubleshooting and repairing them.
On Friday, October 20, 2023, Pat was called home to our Lord and Savior. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan Joppy and Ann Green.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Carolyn Noland, sons Duwan Noland and Nathan Noland, mother-in-law Frances Stafford, sister-in-law Cheryl Lewis, niece LaVonda Howard (Kedrick), nephew Ronald Lewis (Coryne) and a host of family and friends.
