Remembering  and treasuring our Aunt Huddie and her unforgettable spirit, humor, love, and faith as we journey into another new year.  
Although she is not with us physically (as all of our love ones who have passed on), every now and again their wisdom and life instructions are brought to our memory.

May Mother Garner's memory continue on as a "Woman of God" who served the calling of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was an anointed vessel who preached the word of God.  We worked together and traveled doing God's bidding.

Mother Garner was a delight to be around when fellowshipping at home, events and at church.

I know its been some time but we still send prayers out to your children, grands and other family members. 
My family is so hurt that it is almost a year and we are just finding out that you are gone. Mother Townsend has been looking for you every since your last phone call. I was supposed to bring her to see you at your daughters. You were a special lady. My mom had a feeling you were gone to receive your crown in glory. Continue to rest until the return of our Savior. 😭😭😭😭😭

I'm so sorry for your precious loss of your loved one. Mother Garner was a wonderful woman of God. She was always full of joy rejoicing in the Lord continously.  She always looked so glamorous wherever she went. She loved her family. Spoke very well of all of you. Talked about how everyone spoiled her. She was something else. Very witty. Loved to laugh. She was a praying & God fearing woman of God. Whenever in her presence you could feel the spirit coming on. HALLELUJAH! I know she will be missed by many but I pray that the memories of her  will be more than just a photo in a frame but will help sustain you during your moments of sorrow. If she were here and saw you crying she would tell you to be strong...God will be your comforter. Family be strong. Stay close to the word because it will bring comfort. Stay and pray together. Weeping endures for a night but JOY comes in the morning. There is hope that you may see her again on the other side of the grave. Keep the faith. Be obedient to God's word. May mom rest in peace in the bosom of the Lord. I love you all. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there to comfort you and share in the home going celebration but you are in my prayers. I was able to watch live stream. Everything looked beautiful. Just the way Mother would have loved it. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  We love you. For many years Nancy Garner was a most important member of our family and we will always remember the love and gentle nature she shared with us.  She was especially treasured by our son, Matthew, who sadly passed away some years ago.  I know they are close together once again. Mom as I fondly  called her ever since I met her thru my friendship with Cameo that spans for over 30 years. Ever since I met her she’s always been such a calm and peaceful person, always smiling. Mother Gardner blessed us with her gift of playing the piano.  It was such a joy to hear her play the piano on several occasions at Adonai Ministry Internal [Pastor: Dr. Barbara Summers]. I am thankful for the times she was able to render support for my pastor during away speaking events. Thank God for her gifts and knowledge of the Word. Her smile is very memorable. 

Meanwhile, my prayers goes out to the family especially sister Holly her niece. May you all be comforted during this season of loss. I can only say another soldier going home to be crowned.

Marriage added me to the Garner family, but the gentle loving spirit of mamma Garner, as I called her always made me feel like a son, -the N law. In 2011 after becoming one with her daughter, was start of our relationship that continued to blossomed. I could fill a page with many joyful memories shared. MG stay with us often, her gentle loving spirit always had a way of penetrating the soul of my serious demeanor, then the jokester would emerge, she’d laughed/reply you so crazy, then insisted I pray for her  (“I prefer” keeping it private) she grab my hand & before I know it, I’m praising him, then MG would praise me. She’d always tell me how she liked staying with us, upon moving in our new home recently I recall creating space were MG would stay, days prior to the unexpected call from God, my wife asked, you mind if momma come back after staying a month or so weeks prior. As always I could never say no. I’ve felt her spirit speak to me many times since she physically left us. The new year represents our new relationship, she remains in the hearts of all who love her and I am extremely grateful for the bond we shared … 
             

It is hard to say goodbye to someone who has left an everlasting imprint on my life, but I can’t argue with God.  I will miss your early morning calls, and your prayers that we so dearly need every day.  God is receiving an Angel that I will surely miss, but I will always think of you and even more when I make your favorite fried chicken.

Dear Lord, please wrap your loving arms around the family and friends of Ms. Nancy Garner.  May they find comfort and peace in You, Amen.  To my coworker Cameo, turned very close friend and Sister in Christ, this walk will not be easy but I promise, we shall walk it together.  With love, Sasha

Mom, you were my everything. You taught me how to connect with God, how to listen to His voice, knowing the difference between the enemy speaking and when the Lord is speaking to me. You taught me how to listen to people when they talk. You always said you learn a lot about a person if you listen to the words they are saying. Mom, you always told me I had this special gift of understanding people, a gift that the Lord gave me. I have a giving heart, too much at times, you would say. Mom, you were my rock.
