He was born on June 10, 1942 in Beltsville, Maryland to the late Lewis and Frances Forrest. Larry served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964, was honorably discharged and received a Good Conduct Medal. He retired from the United States National Park Service and continued his work as a contract Pipefitter to the White House for several years after his retirement. He enjoyed golf, traveling with his family and had an everlasting sense of humor. He was a loving husband and father and an especially proud grandfather. Larry will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Larry leaves behind his wife, Noreen Forrest; his daughters, Selina Majewski (Todd Majewski) and Wanda Forrest (Jon Whittingham); his son, Larry Forrest (Jennifer Forrest); his grandchildren, Jordan Forrest, Zoe Forrest, Sophie Majewski, Griffin Majewski, Connor Majewski, Rowan Whittingham and Riley Whittingham, and his sisters Juanita Robinson and Madeline Kline. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Rose.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5 – 8 pm and Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home and Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 10:30 am. Friends are invited to a luncheon following the service at the American Legion College Park Post 217, 9218 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, Maryland 20740.
