Kevin Maurice Oliver

Kevin Maurice Oliver was born on January 15, 1969, to Marion Oliver and the late Robert Oliver at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He was one of six siblings: Karen Williams, Kathy LeSesne, Andre Cole, Michael Oliver and Lauren Oliver.

Kevin was a true Washingtonian who grew up learning in D.C. Public Schools, where he attended Draper Elementary, Hart Middle School, Eliot-Hine Middle School, and graduated from McKinley Senior High School. As Kevin grew older, he began working as a summer youth employee. He later gained employment with his first official job at McDonald’s and became a store manager at Roy Rogers on Capitol Hill. He spoke fondly of his memory of meeting Doug Williams, former quarterback for the Washington Redskins because he was diehard Redskins fan. After he met with the hometown hero, Kevin learned how to make a great impression on the former quarterback. Kevin later began working in security, where he happily served for many years.

Kevin enjoyed playing sports especially football and basketball, watching movies, and listening to go-go music. He also thoroughly enjoyed attending large family gatherings and visits. He loved and enjoyed the company of children and friends. He was a dedicated son, brother, father, and friend and full of love, and compassion.

Kevin is survived by his loving mother, Marion Oliver, four children, and 13 grandchildren. (Daughter) LaTasha McCullers and her children Antwan Gutherie Jr., Lauryn McCullers, Mariah McCullers, Wayne Warren, Jr., Nevaeh McCullers, Titan Warren, Tabios Warren, and Netiri McCullers; (daughter) LaShawn McCullers and her children Kevin Lynch and Victoria Lynch. (Son)Kevin Jackson. (Daughter) Tamikia Jackson and her children Taylah Jackson-Samuels, Tyler Jackson, and Tylia Jackson. He is also survived by (sister) Karen Williams and her children: (niece) Letitia Smith (Mike) and their two children, (niece) LeQuita Williams (Ariel); (sister) Kathy Lesesne (Pierre) and their two children; (brother) Andre Cole and his three children; (brother) Michael Oliver; and (sister) Lauren Oliver. His extended family of uncles and cousins: (uncle) Kenneth Watts (Nettie) and (cousin) Rasaan Simpson (Shon) and their two children; (uncle) Melvin Watts (Renee) and his four children (cousin) Danielle Watts and one child, (cousin) Crystal Matthews (Mike) and four children, (cousin) Melvin “Mickey” Watts, Jr. and two children, and (cousin) Derrick Thorne and one child; (uncle) Donnell Watts (Celeste) and their daughter (cousin) Joy Nelson (Coy) and their two children.

Kevin went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2023. He was preceded in death by his (father) Robert Oliver, (wife) Donna Marie Oliver, (uncles) Carl Watts, Jr. and Archie Watts, and (cousin) Wyndell Watts.
