Juan was born on June 13, 1986 and spent his life in D.C., graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School and finding his home in the hospitality industry, until recently relocating to Richmond to live with his fiancée.
Exceptionally funny, loving, charismatic, and kind-hearted, Juan found great joy in the companionship of friends and loved ones and touched the lives of so many people throughout his life. Juan was an avid fan of the Washington Commanders and loved movies, music, his dog Jubilee, his cat Meowington, Italian food, the writings of Jimmy Santiago Baca, and the quote, “I’ll see you again - this side or the other.”
Juan is survived by his fiancée, Sandy Truong; his two daughters, Melissa and Miya; his father, Mario Claros; parents, Ron and Catherine Butler; his brothers, William (Madeline) Claros, Brian Claros, Paul Butler, Mark Butler, and Scott (Lauren) Butler; nieces, Karen and Lyra; nephews, Aiden, Isaac, Nicolas, and Austin; and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Araceli Gudiel.
Juan will be greatly missed and will live on forever in our hearts and memories. Friends and family can attend a visitation and share memories of Juan on November 29, 2023, and may arrive any time between 3pm – 6pm, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home in Brentwood, MD.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.fort-lincoln.com for the Claros family.
