Born in Washington D.C., Eva was the fourth child of Ralph and Margaret Burleson. Eva’s siblings are, Ralph Jr., Mary, Charles, Rose, Robert, John, April, Raymond, Margaret, Carol, and Alice.
Eva found her soulmate in her second husband Robert "Bobby" Stone, who preceded her in death in November 2008. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and laughter.
As a devoted mother to eight—Patricia, Ralph, Margaret, Eugene, Charles, James, Cathleen, and Roberta—Eva’s nurturing spirit served as the cornerstone of her family. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to 16, a great-grandmother to 27, and a great-great-grandmother to 9. Eva’s legacy of unwavering love and care will resonate through the generations, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
Eva was truly the light in the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated herself to ensuring everyone around her felt happiness and security. Her love knew no bounds, and she lovingly cared for many of her grandchildren, giving special attention to Nikki, her “golden child,” whom she nurtured since birth.
With a vibrant spirit that touched every soul, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family. Eva brought cheer and laughter to those around her, no matter the circumstances. She consistently stood by those in need, embodying the role of a superhero in the lives of her loved ones.
In a family as large as hers, it is a testament to her strength and dedication that she was able to create lasting bonds and a sense of unity among all. Eva Mae Stone will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.
