Eugene Gathers Sr. went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving family.
Eugene Sr., more affectionately known as Billy by his family, was born in Washington DC. He was born to the late Ruth Holmes Gathers and James Gathers, Sr. on August 15, 1954. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and gentle spirit. He will be remembered for his legacy as a master mechanic. His love for automobiles was infectious, sparking excitement in those fortunate enough to share in his enthusiasm.
