We knew each other for 42 amazing years.  My ❤️  is heavy and broken that you are no longer here. Alot of fond memories we shared together.

It has been an honor and a privilege to be a recipient of your generous friendship and superior attention to my well-being over the years.  You've been a true gentleman extraordinaire!!!  

I will miss and cherish our frequent conversations along with our annual birthday and holiday acknowledgements.  It is hard to believe that your call to me on Friday, August 26 would be our last conversation!

Cousin Ed always remembered me at special times and was there in person to lend an ear during tough times.  This photo was taken after the funeral of my grandfather, who was Ed’s uncle by marriage. He was alway present and available to his friends and family. 
Anyway, I consider myself fortunate to have had such an intelligent, interesting, caring as well as fun, witty and  fearless as a  role model in my life. I will miss him. 

Please allow me to extend my sincere condolences to the family. Eddie was a classmate and friend at Roosevelt HS. He was always a very funny and cool guy. I pray his family will find comfort and peace in the knowledge that Eddie will live forever in their hearts. May he Rest In Peace! God's Grace is Sufficient!!

We have been blessed for the Magnificent 7 to be together this year.  

My condolences to Ed’s family. He was a kind, warm hearted, loving, gentle giant.  His frat meant the world to him, and he took his job with them seriously. When I lost my husband, he called almost every day to check on me and to see if there was anything that I needed. I will never forget his warm spirit! Rest in peace Ed. 

Rest well, Unc!  You were a real cool dude and you will be missed.  I will never forget those family reunion committee meetings.

Bro. Dixon always gave more than he received. Truly a mentor, friend, and Brother.

Wow! I had just received a birthday card from Ed as we always shared our well wishes of having birthdays in Aug. And then a friend from our JOIO days at NGA asked if I had heard about Ed's passing and I had not.

He will definitely be missed. Rest my Omega brother, rest. May the Lord's angels surround you with peace🙏 on a big old Harley as you ride out.

Condolences and our deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and all of us who had the sincere knowledge of knowing such a wonderful, cheerful, helpful personality as Ed.
Ed was one of the first real friend and co-worker that I met at the NAVY Yard.  We also became motorcycle riding buddies, and we were both active members of  the Ft Washington Motorcycle Club.
Needless to say, we will always miss his smiles and his never forgetting important dates of Nancy's and my life.

I met Mr. Dixon at building 213, many years ago.  You could always count on him for a good laugh, and a warm hello every day!  I hadn't seen or heard from him in a few years but thought of him often.  To the Dixon family, I send heartfelt condolences to you during this difficult season. My heart was broken to hear the news of my dear friend, Edward G. Dixon Jr.’s passing.  Dixon and I go way back.  We’ve known each other since our freshman year at North Carolina A&T (1967-1971). We had a ball at A&T as walking partners on the yard.  Our friendship continued even after college - he was a groomsman in my wedding in 1976.  No matter how far or how least we talked, when we spoke we always picked up where we left off.  Dixon always remembered mine and my wife’s wedding anniversary and our birthdays - every year we’d get cards in the mail from him; we will miss getting those cards in the mail and we will miss him! To the family, please know that you all have my deepest sympathies and condolences.  I will continue to lift you all up in prayer.  God bless. 

Sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. We worked together in Building 213. I would stop by Ed’s office and chat with him often.  It’s been probably 20 years since then, but have never forget how much I enjoyed talking to Ed.  He was a great guy, always positive and funny.  Sincerely, Brian Michael

Ed became my cousin via Margaret Roberts .  He always checked on me.  He was always kind and thoughtful.   I will miss the emails.  My sincerest condolences to the family. 

I am just hearing about the passing of Edward G. Dixon, Jr.  Edward served for many years as our family reunion treasurer and did this duty very well.   The Dixon Family (as a whole) will miss Edward and his assistance, diligence, steadfastness, and love as he attended many of our reunion. Dear Family of Edward G. Dixon Jr – It is with a heavy heart that I express my deepest condolences to you. I will always remember Ed as being a very generous and giving person. I remember the joy he had as he loved driving his blue cars and rode his motorcycle. I recall him being a very loving and supportive son, brother, "UNC" cousin and nephew. I have known Eddie since the 4th grade when we both attended Truesdale Elementary School on Ingraham St in NW Washington. While in elementary school we were both "patrol boys" or crossing guards with Eddie being in charge of the whole group - "The Captain". We went thru jr high and high school together and went our separate ways after that although I'd see him and hang out as we got older. He always remembered to send holiday wishes and remembered birthdays and other important times with cards and cheerful reminders. He sent me an American flag this past July 4th. He was funny and told great stories. He was one of my oldest friends and I will miss him.

          I had the pleasure of working with Ed and others many, many years ago.  My Condolences to the Family and Friend’s during Ed’s Transition and receiving his Wings.
