

Dignity, elegance, courage, faith-filled and strength are all words that describe Delores Dorthelia Robinson Malloy. She was affectionately known as “Tudy”. On Friday, May 30, 2014, Delores transitioned to her eternal reward.
On July 18, 1934, Delores Dorthelia Robinson was born to the late Charles Henry Robinson and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Green Robinson. Delores was the first of nine children born to this union; five sons, Charles (“Nochie”), Cornell (“Joe”) (deceased), Melvin (“Skipper”), Alfred (“Butch”) (deceased) Leroy (“Nickie”), and four daughters Carolyn, Kathleen (“Lena”) and Deborah (deceased).
Delores grew up in the United House Prayer For All People where both of her grandparents served in multiple capacities. Her grandfather was the late Apostle Walter Green (“Daddy”) and her grandmother was the late Carrie Green (“Mama”). Delores attended the Washington D.C. Public Schools. Delores graduated from Dunbar High School. Apostle Ernest L. Green encouraged her to attend Minor Teacher’s College in Washington DC.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Apostle Donald H. Malloy at the United House of Prayer. To this union two children were born; Donald Maurice Malloy (“Ricky”) and Kenneth A. Malloy (“Kenny”). She joined and faithfully attended Integrity Church International and then Christ Temple Church.
Delores Malloy’s federal government career spanned for 36 years. She joined the Navel Gun Factory, as a clerk typist in November 1956. In January 1959, she started as clerk typist at the Interstate Commerce Commission. In December 1963 she worked as a Clerk Typist at the Post Office Department, Bureau of Facilities. She was promoted to purchasing agent in January 1966. In July 1966, she was promoted to Procurement Assistant. In January 1967, she started working for the General Services Administration as a Procurement Assistant. In July, 1968 she was promoted to Procurement Agent. In August 1979, she was promoted to a Contract Negotiator. She received the “Presidential Citation by President Lyndon B. Johnson”.
Delores loved family and had pleasure in supporting them all. Delores had a special relationship with her mother and siblings. She always looked forward to spending time with everyone on holidays. She loved to prepare delicious meals. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pie that Carrie Green (“Mama”) taught her to make. She enjoyed traveling and loved sports especially basketball and football (Redskins). She was skilled at preparing taxes and would prepare them for family, friends and the elderly. She loved to collect precious artwork. When she became ill; Wilhelmina (“Bay”) came to live with Delores in order to assist her. All will miss Delores Robinson Malloy (“Tudy”).
She leaves to cherish her memory her two loving sons, Pastor Donald M. Malloy (La Shawn Townsend); Kenneth A. Malloy(Marguerite Ross), three granddaughters, DaLetheia Malloy Fomby (Kevin), DaMika Malloy Johnson (Mark), Marissa A. Malloy, four grandsons; Deacon Donald M. Malloy, Jr. (Shamar Cowan), Dr. Daniel M. Malloy (Juanita Garcia), Deacon David M. Malloy (Aleesha Moore), Maurice A. Ross, eleven great grandchildren; Brenay Malloy Fomby (Devaun), Kevin Darrell Fomby Jr. ,Sierra V. Malloy, Khalil A. Fomby, Daniel Devin Malloy, Maliya Ross, Khoury D. Fomby, Donald M. Malloy III, Khameran, DeLaney, and Devin Jr. as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
