David Kenneth Dupree, born on January 19, 1957, was a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He received his wings and flew to Heaven on September 8, 2022.
David grew up in Washington, DC and graduated from Coolidge High School. He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for more than 40 years before retiring. In his spare time, he loved watching Redskins games, spending time with his family, and going out to eat.
Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, David managed his illness with strength and grace. On his final days, he was surrounded by his family and close friends.
David was proceeded in death by his parents, David Lee and Georgianna Dupree; and his sister Deloras Dantzler.
David leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Destiny and Dierra; his granddaughter Logan Dupree; sisters Sharon and Donna; and a host of other family and friends.
There are no tears in heaven
There are no tears in Heaven, nor grief of any kind, I leave this final teardrop, to those I've left behind. Though absent from the body, I'm present with the Lord, the joy of my salvation, is now my full reward.
