Mrs. Christine Gordon Wilson was born on September 3, 1938, to the late James Gentry Gordon Jr. and Mary Jane Gordon in Culpeper, Virginia. Christine departed this life on August 19, 2023, at Holy Cross Hospital after a lengthy illness.
At an early age, she was baptized and became a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Rapidan, Virginia. Her early education was received in Culpeper Training School and George Washington Carver Regional High School, Culpeper, Virginia. She relocated to Washington, DC where she attended D.C. Teacher’s College.
Christine worked as a Medical Administrator most of her life. She was a member of United Ostomy Society, Professional & Business Women’s Assn. and George Washington Carver Alumni Assn.
She loved family; immediate and expanded and always up for family gatherings. As a pastime, she enjoyed arts and crafts, but her favorite was cooking, baking better known as “Chris’ Sweets”, and making pickles.
She is predeceased by two brothers, James Gentry Gordon III and Luther Stephen Gordon. To cherish her fond memory, she leaves behind brothers, Walter Lee Jackson (Annie), Richard O. Gordon (Diane), Michael A. Gordon, Graylin K. Gordon and two sisters, Barbara A. Watson and Peggy L. Gordon and many nieces, nephews, cousins (her special cousins, Mary Harris, James, Battie, Alice, and Robert Stewart who were always there for her) and friends.
