Bobby Walker, Sr., son of the late Rosabell Walker was born on December 16, 1948 in Mebane, N.C. He departed his life on May 17, 2017 at Providence Hospital, in Washington, D.C. Bobby left home at the age of 19 to attend a trade school in law enforcement. He me and married his wife, Claudia M. Walker in Jersey City, NJ.
After graduating from the Police Academy in 1969, he joined the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. in 1970. Bobby was a very athletic person who loved to play baseball and enjoyed watching all types of sports on television. Bobby also enjoyed fishing, shrimping and gathering oysters with his wife. Bobby also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and especially cooking breakfast. Bobby Walker, Sr. was a very generous and intelligent man, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Claudia M. Walker, his two children whom he adores, son, Bobby Walker, Jr. and his daughter Tomeka Walker McNeal. One daughter-in-law, Danita Walker and one son-in-law Christopher McNeal. He is also survived by one sister Debbie Walker from Mebane, NC and three brothers, Buddy Walker, Michael Walker and Nathaniel Walker from Mebane, NC, three late sisters, Brenda Walker, Vivian Walker and Rosemary Walker from Mebane, NC. Two sister-in-laws, Patricia Hughes (Leon) from High Point, NC, Shirley Curry (Donald) from Mooresville, NC and three brother-in-laws, David Taylor (Annette) from High Point, NC, Michael Taylor (Mary) from Johnson city, TN, Daniel Taylor (Hattie) from Waterboro, SC. Nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
