Belinda Denise Robinson, was the youngest of four children born to Vivian and Andrew Robinson on August 29, 1959. She quietly departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her residence.
Belinda accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age in life. She was educated in the DC Public School System. She was a 1977 graduate of Eastern High School and attended the University of the District of Columbia. Belinda began working for Safeway Stores, Inc., and years later worked at the Law Offices of Othello G. Jones, Jr.
Belinda loved music, dancing and listening to the Oldies on Saturday mornings and was the life of the party at many of our family gatherings. We have countless memories of our “Hurricane” (a name given to Belinda by her siblings). She would come in and get started then leave us in tears laughing & crying. She often referred to her loved ones as “ Kiddo”. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Linney”. She loved her family & friends. Despite her failing health, you would still see her walking the neighborhood, and later using a cane and walker to assist her. Through it all, she continued to maintain her independence and live out her life.
Belinda was a loving, caring & kind mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves lots of beautiful memories and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Belinda was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Robinson, Jr.
Cherished memories of Belinda will be shared by her son, Frank Bailey, Jr., mother; Vivian Robinson, two granddaughters Ahmani & Frankee’ Bailey; one grandson Jordan Presley; siblings, Wanda Robinson, Quentin Robinson (Ivy), Charlita Brown; two nephews Ronnie Washington, Jr., (Sheena), Dontue Robinson; one niece Chantel Robinson; one great nephew Jeremiah Robinson; uncle Clyde W. Robinson, Sr. (Karen); best friends – Frank Bailey, Sr., Melvin Rockingham and a host of many other relatives and friends.
