To Barbara Ann Waller, the entire world was a stage. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Barbara, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye.
Barbara was born on January 24, 1959 at DC General Hospital in Washington, DC. Her parents were Barbara Coleman and David Morgan. Barbara was raised in NE DC. Even as a child, Barbara had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention. She was definitely a little bit of a show off, but in doing so, she succeeded in entertaining her entire family.
Always a good playmate, Barbara was easygoing and fun loving. She managed to lighten the mood wherever she was, even during family squabbles. She seemed to have a knack for bringing compromise and erasing tense situations around the house. Due to a generous dose of common sense, Barbara managed to find a satisfying solution to basic problems. Barbara was raised with 5 siblings, she had four brothers- Ace, Micheal, Gary and Francis and one younger sister Lanetta.
At work, as in life, Barbara was a real “people person.” She had a very successful way of dealing effectively with others, and her enthusiasm and energy was often contagious. Barbara's talent for being a down to earth thinker, allowed many around her to see Barbara as an excellent problem solver. She was born and raised in NE DC and began her education within the DC public school system, then finishing her education at Jobcorp. Her primary occupation was a Teacher's aide; she was employed for over 20 yrs for the DC and PG county Public schools.
Barbara enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. An “arts and crafts” type, Barbara liked creating and making things. Her favorite pursuits were going out when she was younger, creating crafts and spending time with her family. Barbara was content to enjoy her hobbies alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Barbara was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed watching her favorite events whenever she got the opportunity. Tops on her list were football, watching her Dallas Cowboys.
Barbara passed away on March 6, 2020 at PG Hospital. She is survived by her two daughters Anastasia and husband Gary Sr., Tatiana and husband Joe, along with one son Francis. She had a wonderful relationship with her two grandchildren, Gary Jr. and Amelia. She is also survived by her mother Barbara, older brother Gary and younger sister Lanetta, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barbara brought joy to all of those around her. Barbara Ann Waller lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile and as a mother for all.
