Barbara was a source of joy whenever we met. We shared long train trips to Albany, many lovely lunches and meetings of organizations to which we both belonged. Barbara always had a present for her buddies when she returned from a trip or when she organized a luncheon for 50 retirees. The greatest present she gave to people was the loving warmth of her smile. She lived her faith and the  world is poorer without her.

I am holding all of Barbara's family in the Light. I was a colleague of hers at the Department of Labor. Barbara glowed with goodness and also with fun. I will miss her.

My condolences to all of Barbara's family and friends. She loved you all so much. I worked with Barbara at the Department of Labor. We remained friends until her passing. She was one of the best, kindest, caring and intelligent person I've known. I am grateful that we were able to see one another in July. Rest in peace dear Barbara.

Deepest condolences to all the family ... you were her greatest joy.  She was so proud of you all and spoke of you all constantly.  We are so grateful, as Tish and everyone took such wonderful care of her and gave her such beautiful send-offs in New York and Maryland.  Robert and I were so blessed to come up from Florida to join you in NY and only wish we could have been there again to share our memories in person in Maryland today.

Our darling Auntie Barbara was a constant fixture in our lives, a wonderful Godmother to Robert , honorary aunt to me, college roommate and lifelong best friend to our mom Therese and loved 'sister' to our dad. She was one of the first independent, professional women that I knew and had as a role model with her work and travels. She was an inspiration to us all for her smarts, dignity, dedication, kindness, care, and compassion.  Her faith shone through in all she did - and she was always there for us. Calls, texts, visits to her apartment, or visits to our home wherever they were at the time (NY, Albany, DC) .... even (despite her aches) making the trip to Florida in 2016 for the baptism of her “grand-godson”.  We spoke frequently and I was so blessed that her "grand-goddaughter" Diana and I got to visit her the day before she began her transition.  Our hearts are broken and our lives are the emptier for her going to heaven, but I know she is having a blast now....  being reunited with her beloved parents, sisters,  our folks and spending time laughing and reminiscing stories with them all from the wonderful life she lived here. Save a place for us all, darling Auntie Barbara.   We'll work hard to live the faith like you did and earn our place with you there - miss you terribly until then.  xoxo

I met Barbara at the Department of Labor in 1995.  She was such a smart and kind person who fought for her clients and her profession.  A class act and a joy to know.

Barbara was a good friend and co-worker of my aunt, Patricia Maguire.  Patricia, diagnosed with Alzheimer's, has been in a home for many years.  Barbara reached out to me at the beginning of Pat's diagnosis and we became phone buddies, speaking about every 2 months.  I just loved talking to her.  I've been trying to reach her since January of this year, but couldn't find her.  I'm so sorry that I didn't get to speak to her one more time.  She was such a lovely, caring person.  My sincere condolences to her family.  She spoke very fondly of you during our phone calls.  May she Rest In Peace and may the beautiful memories of her sustain you.  God bless.
