Queridos Dino & Val hasta ahora no encuentro y creo nunca encontraré las palabras correctas para decir cuánto lo siento, lamentablemente por la distancia no pude disfrutar a Niko cómo me hubiera gustado,  pero sé la extraordinaria persona que fué y lo querido que era, y es cómo lo siento, “mi amado sobrino por siempre” a quien recordaré y lo llevaré en mi corazón ♥️

There are many memories we have with Cap.  Matthew remembers playing soccer with him for AYSO when he was a little tyke.  This is when their friendship started.  He was so adorable with his sweet smile and how he loved his grandma, mom, and dad.  We loved watching Cap grow up especially seeing him flourish as an athlete and scholar at Loving Savior.  Val and Dean were at every game and every activity he was involved in.  They did it all and you could see the pride in Cap’s eyes.  Our hearts are with you all and we are saddened. Even from a young age, Cap was always incredibly passionate about sports, whether it was rallying behind his Golden State Warriors or San Francisco 49ers. We made countless memories at recess on both court and field, but above the competitive spirit Cap possessed was a remarkable ability to bring laughs and smiles wherever he went. During our childhood, Cap had touched my life and those of so many of our classmates through his hilarious, yet kindhearted nature.

Nik truly had an amazing soul. His energy completed our group in calculus class. His humor and slight side eyes always added so much to our conversations. I will never forget the day Yaritza got Nik to laugh so hard and the pure joy on his face. We were always the loudest in class because we were always so happy with each other. Nik was one of the reasons that calculus was my favorite class and someone that made my A days my favorite days. Nik never failed to put us in a better mood and was always there to help even if that meant helping us cheat on tests. Nik’s energy will always be missed in class but the bond that he helped make between our group will never be forgotten.

This is one of my favorite memories with Nik! We started vlogging our days in class since we’d soon be off to internships and wanted to capture our moments before and after when we have completed them. Nik was never camera shy and loved going along with whatever we made him do or talk about. I admired his smile and the way he was unintentionally and effortlessly funny. Nik was somehow always ahead of us in class even though he seemed to do the least amount of work and yet he excelled in everything he did. I will forever remember him for being king, genuine, smart, funny and just an overall amazing person. Words cannot and will never explain how much he will be missed and I will never forget such an amazing person.

Nik was unable to feel his own pulse so everyone was determined to help him and he we thought it was the funniest thing. I enjoyed this class with Nik and every moment I got to spend with him, every class It became harder to not talk to him the entire class.

Homecoming 2023, a night I won’t forgot with these amazing people ❤️

I had a shirt in the back seat of my car, and he turned it into a doo rag. He thought it was so funny. That same day,  he almost broke my radio because he clicked on so many buttons in my car 😂
For some reason he kept turning on Spanish-latin music.

Was always able to find him at Homecoming!

I remember how painful my shoes were for  homecoming. He made fun of me so much because I could not walk right. He had to catch me from falling or turning my ankles a few times!

At first he was SO scared of the eye lash curler. He was terrified to use it and thought it would hurt. He finally figured out how to use it after a few tries.

Psych class with you was so memorable. You got stuck in the corner full of girls. I think you were disappointed at first but with time grew to like us. We had food exchanges and constant laughter. We became the loud group and often got stares and unwanted attention from Mrs. Capelli! 
One memorable day was when Erika told us she was going to Texas Roadhouse with her boyfriend. I remember we were talking about how good the rolls there were. You slide her $10 and BEGGED her to bring them to school the next day. We were so desperate for those rolls. I swear you were always hungry in that class!

It was a true struggle trying to figure out how to put the boutonnière on. You kept on getting annoyed because I poked you so many times! We couldn’t stop laughing about it.

I remember how surprised he was to see everyone at homecoming. He expected everyone to be wearing bright colors too. When I had the conversation about what he was gonna wear a few weeks before, he said “it’s my senior year, I wanna be flashy”. So instead of wearing “boring colors” he wore a pink shirt!
And everyone absolutely loved his shoes! They were super sparkly with rhinestones all over, but he complained about how uncomfortable they were the whole night!

Friday Night Lights with you were always fun. You stood next to me and gave me a play by play breakdown constantly. You would quiz me on football positions even though you knew I didn’t know anything about football. 

This picture was after a football game when we went to Mcdonald's. You taught me about “Free Fry Friday’s”! That was probably the most entertaining Mcdonald’s trip ever. You and the boys were running wild chasing each other on the play structure.

First period Psychology! 
At the beginning, I think Nik was disappointed to sit in the corner of the class with all girls. With time he grew to like us though. We had constant food exchanges, math help and nonstop laughter. We were the “loud” corner and often got stares and unwanted attention from Mrs. Capelli as a result.

I want to start by giving my condolences to you both for your loss of your wonderful son. Niko was in my economics class this semester; he was one of my best students and he was always willing to help other students who needed it, which I always appreciated.

Cap and I haven’t been super close over the last year and a half, but our sophomore year we had our ap world class together. For most of the year we sat next to each other and he was one of the reasons I chose not to switch out of that class. He would always make my day better. He was genuinely very nice and would give me rides home from school sometimes without batting an eye. I greatly appreciate getting to know and be around him for the short time I was.
