Marilyn Hopwood passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 5th at age 78. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, and friend.
Marilyn was born and raised in Oil City, PA., graduating from St. Joseph’s High School. She attended St. Vincent Hospital Nursing Program in Erie, PA. She was an excellent nurse and had an outstanding 30 year career in nursing.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim: children Deborah Hopwood of Carmichael, Barbara Dilke of Oakley, Mark Hopwood of Clayton, Matthew Hopwood of Brentwood and grandchildren Elizabeth Dilke and Sean Hopwood. All those who knew her warm, caring, generous, loving nature will greatly miss her.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral mass on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brentwood. Burial to follow at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette.
