John Franklin Yingling

John F. Yingling, son of Eugene and Ella Yingling, passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2014. John was born in Newkirk Oklahoma February 8, 1933. He moved to the Oakley area in California in 1946. He graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood California. He served in the United States Air Force as a diesel mechanic and was stationed in Newfoundland. John worked as a caprenter and steelworker, retiring from USS- POSCO Steel after many years of service. He follows his dear wife Rosemary who passed away in 1995. He is survived by his brothers: Art Yingling, Bob Yingling, Charles Yingling, and Roy Yingling; his sisters: Opal Huckeby and Helen Orman; his children and stepchildren: Cheryle Wasson, John Yingling, Olan Wright, and Jeff Willis; as well as several grandchildren and great gandhildren. Gifts can be made in memory of John to the American Cancer Society.
