family. He was well respected for his caring and friendly demeanor.

Jerry was born in his family home in Decatur County, Iowa where he grew up and went to

school. He joined the Coast Guard in 1949. Jerry enjoyed a 26 year career in the Coast Guard

where he achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. Jerry enjoyed his family and friends, as

well as reading and history.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine; devoted children Larry Page, Greg Page, Karen

Bruce, and Chris Palmer; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by

his sister and brother. His love of life, faith in Christ, and warm humor will be deeply missed.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 1-2p.m. The

funeral service will immediately follow at Brentwood Funeral Home at 839 First Street,

Brentwood. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery
