Floyd “Bud” spent his early youth in Twin Falls, Idaho, moving to Martinez, California, in February 1942. While attending Alhambra High School he was a member of California High School Cadets, achieving the rank of First Lieutenant on May 15, 1945. He graduated from Alhambra High School in 1945.
He married Ellen M. Beldin on June 30, 1951. He worked for PG&E for 36 years, retiring in March 1985. He was very active in church activities for most of his adult life, remembered recently as a “legend” at one of these churches for his work in youth programs.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ellen, his three sons Mickey (Cindy) of Tracy, Pat (Mary Lynn) of Brentwood, David (Niki) of Los Banos, and his daughter Jeri (Tom Trayler) of Doris, CA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; one sister, Betty Vornhagen of Brentwood; many nephews and nieces.
