Donald H Morse

Donald (Donnie) Hurstel Morse, longtime resident of Brentwood passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born in Danville, Arkansas on February 28, 1936 to Myrtle Harrison Morse and Hurstel Morse.

Donnie graduated from Liberty High School in 1953 and excelled in sports. He has been inducted into the Liberty sports Hall of Fame 3 times. He worked at the Oakley Water District as Operations Manager and retired in 1992 after 36 years of service.

Donnie loved his family and family get-togethers. The annual Harrison family reunion at Micke Grove park was special to him. It started 51 years ago and he never missed a year. This year he will be missed terribly as he was the patriarch of the family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and RV trips with Yvonne; and more recently golfing, watching Nascar and trips to Reno.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne, daughter Pam (Frank), son Gregg (Laura), stepchildren Victor (Sheryl) and Pam, and step granddaughter Sara. He is also survived by his nephews Mike (Gina), Perry (Casie) and nieces Cathy (Bruce), Lisa (Robert), and Valorie (Paul). He is predeceased by his mother Myrtle, father Hurstel, brother Harry, sister Addie and niece Shelley.

A celebration of his life will be held on June 10, 2022 from 11-3 at the Pittsburg Elks, 200 Marina Blvd, Pittsburg, CA. Donations in his name can be made to the Pittsburg Elks as he was a member there.
