Went with God on Friday June 8th, 2012 in Antioch Calif. She was a resident of Oakley California for the last 10 years, previously of Walnut Creek.
Loving wife to Richard Kennealy.
Mother to Gary Kennealy and Lynn Freeman.
Sister to Nancy A. Gavino.
Grandmother to Breanna Means, Olivia Kennealy, Chelsea Freeman, Abby Freeman, Robbie Kennealy, Harley Kennealy, Joey Kennealy and Great Grandmother to Chase Prather.
Attended St. Paul’s High School in San Francisco. Graduating class of 1960.
She was a Transportation Scheduler for the San Francisco Unified School District for 25 years. During that tenure, there were thousands of thankful parents who Anna helped get their child to and from school, and/or find their lost child. Anna was a problem solver and would tackle any challenge that came her way.
She was active with St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oakley. A charter member of the Columbiettes, and financial secretary for two years. She volunteered with the Knights of Columbus and was an active participant in their monthly breakfasts.
In her personal life, family meant everything to Anna. She was active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and smiled at all of their many achievements. And boy could she cook. It was not uncommon to smell a delicious meal around the neighborhood from her amazing Italian culinary skills.
Anna was often found singing her favorite Patsy Cline songs with her local Karaoke friends.
Anna’s fondest holiday was Christmas. She could hardly wait to see her entire family under one roof opening presents and she loved cooking her family dinner.
Anna passed away peacefully. We are sad to see her go, but we are glad she is reunited with her parents whom she spoke of everyday.
