Winnie Louise Taylor

Winnie, a longtime resident of Bremerton, died Friday the 3rd of January at the Port Orchard, Washington Veteran’s home. Winnie was born in Scotland Neck, NC to Joe and Lizzie Anna Taylor. She was the last of 12 children. Winnie married Leroy Taylor Sr. in 1950. Of that union came five children. Winnie worked in the Bremerton school system as a teacher’s aid with special needs children for 28 years.

Winnie in retirement loved playing bingo, traveling gardening and going to the casino. Winnie was a genuinely happy person and had a smile that could light up a room.

Winnie is survived by her children, Blundle Leroy of Alexandria, NC and husband Osborn, Betty Lou Taylor of Seattle, Leroy Taylor Jr of Bremerton and wife Bobby Jo, Victoria Taylor-Floyd of Viginia Beach, VA and husband Kevin. Grandchildren Reschelle (Jake), Tiffany (Eugene), Anastasia and great-grandchildren Tyson, Masan and Isaac, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Winnie was proceeded in death by her husband Leroy Taylor Sr. and daughter Sadie L. Taylor.

There will be a visitation at 1000 on January 10, 2020 followed by a Celebration of Life at 1100 at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
