William Joseph Yager, age 95, of Bremerton, Washington passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. William was born November 29, 1925 in New York City, New York to George John Yager and Josephine (Conway) Yager.
William is survived by his daughter Katie Schroedle; and his son Bill Yager; his grandchildren Jessica, Dalana, Joseph, Elena, William, Seth and Amy Jo.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anne Marie; his son Peter Andrew Yager and his son George John Yager, and his grandson Danny.
William enlisted in the U.S Army Air Corps in the year 1943. After serving in the U.S. Military he began working at the NY Naval Shipyard from 1947-1965 and then moved to Washington state to work at PSNS until his retirement in the year 1980.
He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Kitsap R&R club, Kitsap Aircraft Radio Control Society, 3rd order Franciscan and a volunteer a St Vincent de Paul and Holy Trinity Church.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 4215 Pine Rd Ne, Bremerton, WA 98310, followed by a catholic mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
