He was born in 1930 in McCloud, CA to Warren & Rowena Tufts. His family moved to Bremerton in 1941. Warren graduated from Star of the Sea, O’Dea High School and Seattle University earning a degree in electrical engineering in 1952. He married Berneda Ramey in 1953. He worked for Olympic National Park, Sperry Corporation, served in the US Army, and then began a 40-year career as a systems engineer for the Boeing Defense Division. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the Knights of Columbus.
He loved his family and took great joy in the family’s numerous pets and in visiting the national parks, especially Yellowstone where he and Berneda visited frequently. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Berneda. He is survived by his younger brother, David, and his children Barbara Buettgenbach, Beth Rich, Charles, Carolyn Core, Robert, Dolores, David and Paul, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30am followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00am will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4215 Pine Rd NE, Bremerton. In lieu of flowers, a donation is recommended to the Yellowstone Foundation.
