Vicki Louise Hinther

Vicki L. Hinther, 67, of Bremerton passed away surrounded by her family on January 30, 2016 in Bremerton. She was born in Portland, Oregon to Oryl and William Shrefler. In 1952 she moved with her family to Kitsap County and would remain a resident of West Sound for the rest of her life. She wa a graduate of Central Kitsap High School's class of 1966 and awarded a Medical Assistant Certificate from Olympic College n 1973.

Throughout her life, Vicki enjoyed traveling, camping, playing dominoes with her friends, sewing, was an avid reader, and later in life she particularly enjoyed performing with the Sunshine Singers at area nursing homes. As a Blue Star Mother she demonstrated an insatiable thirst for knowledge and enjoyed exploring places of historical significance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oryl and William Shrefler, and brother August. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Hinther; sons, Dean (Nanette) and Keith (Miriam) Hinther; her brothers, Steve (Deanna) Shrefler and Jim Shrefler; sister, VelmaJean Shrefler; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
